In this section we present some of the outputs of our project. Each of these was in some way co-produced. That means that the children, teachers, practitioners, young people, youth workers, academics, artists and poet all entwined their knowledge so that what emerged was generated together.
We have developed some key principles for co-production which are as follows:
Its not all about you – think of who your audience is. We developed the Language in School video for parents.
You don’t always get what you want – on the night of the Halloween film it rained very hard!
One size does not always fit all – communities like to create their own outputs, not necessarily rely on outside visions.
Trust in the process – things emerge from stuff and people do things in their own time.
Build incrementally – from the event in the park where we put up the bunting came a community research project on sayings in everyday life.
